Your privacy matters. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are. In plain English.

What we collect

  • Account info: your email, name, and password (hashed). Needed to give you an account.
  • Usage data: which templates you view, save, and deploy. Used to improve recommendations and measure our service.
  • Site content: whatever you write, upload, or AI generates for your site. We host it so your visitors can see it.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser, device. Used for security, rate limiting, and analytics.
  • AI conversations: your messages to our AI customizer are sent to Anthropic (Claude) for processing. They're stored on your session so you can resume.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data.
  • We don't use your content to train AI models.
  • We don't read your private site content except when you explicitly ask for support.
  • We don't share your bookmarks, drafts, or customizations with anyone.

Who we share with

Only service providers we need to run ZonedWeb:

  • Anthropic — to run AI requests (Claude API)
  • Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, DDoS protection
  • Hetzner — server hosting
  • Stripe — payment processing (if you upgrade to a paid plan)

Each of these is contractually bound to protect your data.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, and localStorage to remember your bookmarks and preferences. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA)

  • Access — request a copy of your data
  • Correction — fix anything wrong
  • Deletion — delete your account and all associated data
  • Portability — export your content in a standard format

Data retention

We keep your account data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except for records we're legally required to keep (e.g. billing records for tax purposes).

Children

ZonedWeb is not intended for anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when things change and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be notified by email.
